Frequently Asked Questions

How quickly can I set it up?

About two minutes. There's no wiring and no expertise needed — you unfold the panel, connect it to the power station, and you're generating power. Plug-and-play, straight out of the box.

How do I charge it — does it only work in the sun?

You can charge it two ways: from the sun using the VP15 solar panels, or from an ordinary wall socket, whichever suits you. The panels charge it outdoors in daylight; the wall socket is there for a fast top-up when you can't wait for the sun — for example, the night before a trip. In numbers: solar input up to 500 W; wall-socket (AC) charging up to 1,200 W on the VS18 and 1,800 W on the VS20.

What can it power?

It has four normal household wall sockets — the same plugs you use at home — plus USB-A, USB-C and car-style 12 V outlets, so you can run everyday things like phones, laptops, lights, a TV or a fridge. To give a real sense of it: a single day's solar charge (about 750 Wh) can cover roughly 75 phone charges, or a fridge plus 4 laptops and 13 phone charges. In numbers: pure sine wave inverter; up to 1,800 W output on the VS18 and 2,400 W on the VS20 — enough headroom for higher-draw devices like a coffee machine or power tools; USB-C up to 100 W.

Can I expand the system later?

Yes — the system is modular, so you start with what you need and grow over time. For everyday, do-it-yourself setups, each power station takes a set number of solar panels you can safely connect on your own, straight out of the box: up to 2 panels on the VS18, and up to 3 on the VS20. That covers most homes, cabins, campers and boats. Want more power than a single station can give? Get in touch — larger systems run at higher current and voltage, so we'll spec and set them up safely with you.
