VASOL began as a collaboration between students, researchers and alumni at KTH Royal Institute of Technology. The team set out to create a solar power system that could be deployed quickly, expanded easily and used without specialist knowledge.

That work became SoLink — a modular, dual-use system designed for everyday off-grid power and emergency situations.
